Hello.
My name is Jonathan Andrew Burniston
I am a costume cutter, maker, designer and teacher, I have worked within the costume industry for 10 years. During that time I have worked in TV & Film for Disney, Netflix, Paramount, and the BBC, on productions such as Cruella, Star Wars, Wednesday and Aladdin. I have worked in Theatre in the west end on shows like Cabaret at the KitKat Club and the Book of Mormon. I also work within the live events such as MTV, and most recently have made costumes for the likes of Kylie Minogue and Beyonce. Throughout this time I have taught at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and provide 1 to 1 feedback for students entering the industry. Most recently I have set up a new school, ‘The Manchester School of Costume’ to help teach a growing popularity in costume making. I continue to work professionally, I am currently making costumes for a production on broadway.
I am based in Manchester and London.
